Burnout is a topic with which the author is personally familiar. In January 2016, Dr. Jen realized that although she had achieved her lifelong professional dream of establishing a successful wellness practice, she wasn’t happy. She felt trapped: “like a version of myself was trapped inside and she was screaming at me to break free.”

After a great deal of soul searching, she realized that she needed to redefine what a successful life meant. Selling her practice and becoming a “digital nomad” led the author to a completely different mindset.
